Arguments for not having logout on the panel:

* It's not used often enough to warret such an easily accessible and "prime 
time" place. (used once per session, a session could be any length, minutes 
to months).

* It's effects are quite serious and "surprising" for those not expecting it. 
(Best to put it slight out of the way).
