If nothing else, we should be able to come up with either suggestions and 
"hints", or a complete UI demo (ui file... don't know how to use 
QT-Designer... maybe I should learn) and submit it to them with an 
explanation of why we think that the UI should work this way.

If we submit a deliverable like that, we can encourage the developers to 
discuss the changes on their own lists, hopefully involving at least one of 
the UI contacts on this end.

The way I'd recommend it, if the designers cannot all subscribe to the UI list 
is that one usability guy (at least) subscribe to the KDEapp-devel list and 
pay attention there while the UI issues are being discussed, and pass on the 
more controversial or interesting ideas onto us.  Ideally we will also get a 
person from KDEapp-devel list to subscribe here as well, so he can pass on 
any issues that we've discussed.

It's a proxy system, basically.
