hi..

finally had a chance to really look at the dialog ... it looks a lot like one
that was floating around on kde-pim recently .. probably worth looking
through the archives on lists.kde.org for it ... the nice thing is that two
independant efforts are arriving at similar designs, which probably means it
is a decent design. or at least that it has a less chance of being a bad one
=)

some notes:

o i agree w/simon that the "Remove" button should be moved to be grouped with
the to/cc/bcc buttons...

o instead of using "-->" icons should be used. there are arrow icons in kde
cvs since i just saw a commit that removed ascii arrows from buttons in
konqueror yesterday. this, of course, is an implementation (read: coding)
detail but means the ascii arrows should probably be removed from the UI

o you don't have to worry about the ok and cancel buttons or the line that
seperates them. that comes from the KDialogBase class which would be used.
this also means that you don't want your UI to be a QDialog, but a QWidget.
(someday someone really ought to add some KDialogBase templates for designer)

o what about a klineedit where you can type in a name or email and it
searches through the entries as you type for a match? this would be nice not
only for non-mousers, but for people with very large address books... it
would mar some of the nice symmetry in the dialog right now, but it could be
worked in and would probably be an often used feature for many

o this is more of an implementation detail, but DnD between the lists should
be implemented. i wonder if there is a DnD standard for vCard data in KDE
yet......

overall it is a very elegant design, IMO ... =)
