OK, I've slapped down a quick-n-dirty laundry list of items off the top
of my head to get started on the F7 KDE spin:
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Releases/FeatureFedoraKDE

Folks are welcome to contribute, criticize, add-to.

Here's our chance for us to get Fedora/KDE done right. (:

Hi Rex

Congrats on the wiki page. A great step forward for kde on Fedora / Redhat. Is
there anyway I can add to the wish list without opening a account with
Fedora.

I just want to add a couple of package suggestions like

multimedia: kmplayer
system: kssh

Functionality changes such as independant menu editing
and making the kdm or gdm an option on installation.

Eli

Nope. Licensing/legal mumbo-jumbo is mostly to blame for that.

any good suggests I catch wind of... I can add to the wiki myself.

Not (currently) in Fedora, mind you, so that may be difficult. (:

Part of core kde* packages already, so no biggie. (:

?? kmenuedit or are you talking something else here?

As a matter of fact, I was leaning simply making kdm the default (and
maybe not even including gdm).

Is there a clean (patent and codecs free) implementation of mplayer where
kmplayer is based?

  I am just curious. :-)

You're kidding right?

If not, I seriously doubt it. Besides, we've already worked *very* hard
to get a free/clean xine-lib into Extras. (:

I was just curious to know if such a procedure was possible for mplayer. So
you can classify the question as rhetorical instead. :-)

The problem is not that it _is_ not in Extras, the problem is that in the
foreseeable future it _can_ not be there.
