what about speedcrunch <http://speedcrunch.digitalfanatics.org/> as the 
default calculator? a lot better than kcalc i think. it's written in qt or 
pyqt so integrates well in the desktop. if not the default calculator, it 
would be a useful addition to the scientific section maybe?

i personally would also like kstar included. maybe in games or scientific.

is the kde version of fedora 7 going to "address" the qt vcl plugin problem in 
openoffice? <https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=171908>

Is speedcrunch/kstar it in Fedora (Extras)?  If not, that's a prereq for
inclusion.

speedcrunch: no
kstar: in kdeedu so yes, it's in ... but not packaged individually :-(
