FYI, This stuff isn't ready to go yet, sorry folks. Turns out there's a
wee-bit of quirks-n-incompatibilities w/rpmforge that still needs to be
sorted out. In the meantime, work got busy, and this Fedora insider
summit thingy came up (should be fun!), so we're probably looking at
nothing being ready for public consumption until mid-late next week (ie,
after Nov 16).

Subject: [kde-redhat-users] Problem with using yum on RHEL4
Message: 2

Hello, I've just installed yum on RHEL4, on an x86_64 machine. I've followed the \
setup instructions on the kde-redhat homepage, and *think* I've got it set up okay \
(with just kde and kde-all repositories enabled). But when I enter the command

# yum install qt.x86_64 kdebase.x86_64 kdelibs.x86_64

I get an error. The last few lines of output are:

--> Processing Conflict: kdelibs conflicts kdebase < 6:3.3.90
--> Restarting Dependency Resolution with new changes.
--> Populating transaction set with selected packages. Please wait.
--> Running transaction check
Error: Unable to satisfy dependencies
Error: Package kdelibs needs kdebase < 6:3.3.90, this is not available.

I'm slightly confused by this - is this that my current kdelibs has kdebase 3.3.90 as \
a dependancy? Do I need to shut down my X server before I update kde?

Thanks a lot for your help!
Brian

kdelibs includes:
Conflicts: kdebase < 6:3.3.90

So that implies your yum setup isn't picking up the newest kdebase-3.5.5. ??
