Hello Valorie,

Oh, no, you didn't miss anything. See below.

Ivana is right. It is not really the Telegram group for promo, nor do we
exclusively discuss promotion. In fact it is not even called "promo", but
"marketing" and it is more like the place where we, Ivana and I, employed in
"marketing", discuss things with the board (and each other) when we are in
between bi-weekly meetings.

It is where we discuss admin stuff, mostly, like: "you guys need to fill out
this, co-ordinate with those guys, edit that, and make sure that thing over
there happens". It is that unexciting.

No, no. This list is central. The Telegram group is not like this place at
all.

And as I said, I forgot about the Mastodon thing until Kevin jogged my memory.
I would've definitely brought the topic up here if Kevin hadn't beaten me to
it. But, as I say, I got no comments, and it kind of faded from view, until I
was reminded that Mastodon was exploding and thought "Hey! we should secure
@kde before someone else takes it".

(If you are thinking of setting up Mastodon accounts for your own projects, I
advise you do so soonest, by the way -- Mastodon is becoming really popular).

Ivana is again right on the timeline, by the way, in that it wasn't a month
ago, it was back when I made the task on phabricator, so more like three
months ago. We talked about it in an offhand manner, I threw the task up on
phabricator as both a kind of reminder to myself and a RFC from others. Then I
forgot about it.

We still don't know who's feeding the other KDE accounts (anybody?), which
makes it difficult to co-ordinate with them. This is not ideal. The problem
would be even worse if someone unknown had taken control of @kde too.

I have already shared the credentials with the board, so they can administer
it as they see fit.

Yes, good point. I sent a tweet out on Monday, but it does not hurt to remind
people from time to time. Or, indeed, include a link in the signature.
