Ahh crap, I knew we forgot something. We brought up translations and
then forgot to pop that in there. It'll have to go into the next press
release.

Note that it doesn't say KDE 4.0 applications, just KDE4 applications.
That was very specifically done...if it makes you uncomfortable you
could change it to "KDE4 applications will run natively..." and once
they do, take out the "will".

    * "KDE is an international technology team" - not really, at least
not in the sense "KDE" is generally used in press releases

True. How about "KDE is *produced* by an international technology team..."

    * "that creates integrated Free/Open Source Software" - the
capitalization is not helpful to most, integration need not be stated

Agreed. "...that creates free and open source software"

    * As a general matter the "About KDE" description should be about
KDE, not Qt or the platforms KDE runs on

Agreed for the most part. This was a special case.

If you want to do that it's fine, but I wouldn't add in that translation
sentence as is...having "built" twice is awkward, as is "op top" :-)
Also, building for ease of use implies usability. How about this:

"KDE software is translated into more than 60 languages and is built with ease of use \
and modern accessibility principles in mind."

Also, saying "KDE's products" makes it sound a bit too much like we're actually \
selling something. I think "KDE's projects" fits nicely.

Putting it all together, we end up with the following:

"KDE is produced by an international technology team that creates free and open \
source software for desktop and portable computing. Among KDE's projects are a modern \
desktop system for Linux and UNIX platforms, comprehensive office productivity and \
groupware suites and hundreds of software titles in many categories including \
Internet and web applications, multimedia, entertainment, educational, graphics and \
software development. KDE software is translated into more than 60 languages and is \
built with ease of use and modern accessibility principles in mind. KDE4's \
full-featured applications run natively on Linux, BSD, Solaris, Windows and Mac OS \
X."
