Can we try to put all the negative energy that seems to be involved with 
creating the release notes into positive energy?

Good:
- The preparations have been started in time and people have actually put work 
  into it

Bad:
- Communication was below par once again
- The difference between tagging and release wasn't clear (coordination with 
  the TWG saves our ass here)

Personally, I'd opt for keeping things as they are with respect to messaging, 
fixing typos is obviously OK since it does not affect all the translations -- 
and those would be hard to get in sync.

I do not agree that Tom did finalise the release notes single-handedly, a 
schedule had been made and published, the deadline actually has an 
implication, the text is sent out to the translation teams so from that point 
the messaging cannot be changed without causing 20 times the amount of work 
plus a lot of coordination work.

As to the counting of the language, that one is a bit hard. There are very few 
languages that are 100% complete - if any (regarding documentation, I think 
there is none). So what do you count as a translation and what not? We could 
agree to name it "more than 60 translations" though.
