I think typing smb:/ in konqueror location bar and then opening a Microsoft 
Word document on a windows share is a pretty cool one, especially for 
newbies.

Waldo posted a cool one on kde-devel a couple days ago (again, this is 
kio_slaves stuff):

kfmclient copy http://www.kde.org/index.html /tmp/test.html

I haven't tried this, but apparently it will even work through a proxied 
firewall.
