I think this thread is somewhat a dialog between 2 deafs people.

KDE has a goal : showing all that is possible with KDE software, including 
making proprietary software working.
RMS has a goal : promote free software.

As everything is not possible with free software, these 2 goals are 
incompatible.

Let's people wanting to promote pure free software make a cdrom with the 
software they want, and kde guys make a CD to promote KDE.
