I think this is a bad idea. At least Kontact and its core plugins should
always be in KDEPIM.

We should definitely disable apps which are not ready. The questions is: which
are those apps and can they be fixed instead?

We should gather showstoppers on a wiki page and try to fix those issues. I've
started such a list at http://techbase.kde.org/Projects/PIM/KDE_4-
related_bugs#Major_bugs_.2F_Showstoppers .

I think KOrganizer, Kontact, KAddressbook, KMail and Akregator can be ready
for 4.1. Again, if there are major problems with that, add them to the wiki
page. A month before the release we should try hard to fix those, even if
we're not the maintainer of the respective app.

I have no ideas about other apps (expect KAlarm and KTimeTracker, which both
seem to be in very good shape).

I would like to hear about all major KMail problems you guys still have.

And I'll try to use Kontact4 for my daily work now (until now, I've only used
KMail4), so I can find problems in the parts I use.

Regards,
Thomas
