Hi,

Nope same error as described (no connection to ldaps://ldapserver:636)

Neither, it gives me a not supported error message.

the port is active (telnet ldapserver 636 connects).
Ahh that is probably the problem:
ldapsearch -v -H ldap://ldap -x 'objectclass=\*'
works fine
ldapsearch -v -H ldaps://ldap -x 'objectclass=\*'
tells me
ldap_bind: Can't contact LDAP server (-1)
additional info: error:14090086:SSL
routines:SSL3_GET_SERVER_CERTIFICATE:certificate verify failed
So where can I tell kontact or kaddressbook to accept the Server Certificate?
(I hope the answer isn't too obvious, it isn't for me anyway).
Thunderbird asked me, the first time.
