This is not kmails fault but the standard behaviour of uw! It lists everything 
in your home dir and there is _no_ way to detect something like this. And the 
behaviour doesn't change with the namespace support. Simply change your 
personal namespace from <empty> to your current prefix. As I already wrote 
I'll do my very best to make this easier for the user but I can't read your 
mind ;-)
