Just now, using Kwrite and Kedit, I did the following:

1. Select line of text in kedit using mouse.
2. Switch to kwrite.
3. Select line of text in kwrite using mouse.
4. Hit ctrl-v. Line from kedit is pasted correctly over line in kwrite.

This is observed with all of Kwrite's "Selection" settings disabled, except
for Overwite Selections and Persistent Selections. I find this combination to
be the most useful.

But!!!

If I perform the test in reverse, my test fails. This is because it seems the
Mouse Autocopy setting of Kwrite is broken. If it's ON, then making a mouse
selection blindly overwrites the clipboard contents. If it's OFF, then you
must use CTRL-C to pick up the text.

Kedit gets it right every time.

Sean.
