Did you try to edit: "kdmrc"?  This *is* a bad idea.  You might have to
rename it (e.g. kdmrc.save) and reconfigure KDM.

I suggest that you remove the path from: "kdmrc" and change the first
line of your: "Xsession" file for KDM.  Note: your system may have more
than one of them so be sure you edit the correct one.

The first line should read:

	#!/bin/bash --login

Then simply add to your path in: "/etc/profile" or: "~/.bash_profile".
