Works here too, but I also don't know if there can be some unwanted side
effects. I've in fact changed every ISO-8859-1 in
kdelibs/kdoctools/docbook/xsl/ to UTF-8, and everything seems to be fine. I
found a bug report from three years ago, where someone suggested just this
fix (http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=141059, comment #2).

Perhaps if some more people could test? One needs to go into source and run:

  $ cd $WHEREVER/kdelibs/kdoctools/docbook/xsl/
  $ find -iname \*.xsl | xargs perl -pi -e 's/ISO-8859-1/UTF-8/i'

then rebuild kdelibs (or just kdelibs/kdoctools/), then rebuild
documentation from the language pack.

Damaged how? What I see on my side is that some are simply not translated
(e.g. SYNOPSIS), but haven't looked around yet why this happens.
