But who says, that current system should be abandoned?

If you have this URI

> lokalize [and open the file/project you want to translate]

Also, you have to find app to translate, correct po file, you have to
know email address where to send your work and you have to import
translations into translation memory.

And after that, you still don't have tool which will check syntax
errors as Lokalize cannot do it for now.

Why would you have to register? At first attempt you would be asked
simple question (i.e. 1+1) to prevent bots from spamming, cookie would
be sent and you're good to go.

Using Lokalize is easy, I know. But you have to send your work. And
still it is possible, that it will be missed.

It could be. But you have to fix it by hand anyway. Or allow user to
propose his idea. And we are back where we were.
