Sorry, but no. KBabel has not (and probably will not) have such a conversion.

Even without conversion, you will get many strings to be the same or at least 
similar. With conversion of course even more.

Just do not forget that this is a major release, so that anyway many messages 
will be changed, independently of the change of PO file format.
