It might be usefull for a small group of people in a small set of 
applications, but I would never add something like that in the default user 
interface. Normally you want to have some sort of confirmation before 
printing and the print-dialog provides that.

E.g. it would be nice if such an action would exist and people could add it 
to their toolbar when customizing the toolbar, but I wouldn't add it to an 
application by default.

It might also be interesting for DCOP interfaces btw. If you want to use a 
dcop script to print stuff, you don't want to get a print-dialog first. But 
then again, you don't need an action for DCOP either.
