It's a reimplementation of QSound that uses ALSA, you can use QT's QSound on 
other platforms. Looks like this implementation even uses QSound itself if the 
OS is not Linux, so it should be portable.

However, it only plays wav files, has a small click problem and you'll have too 
maintain it yourself. My advise is: try it and lets us know how it worked 
out;)
