Plasma doesn't really work yet and I have found that it doesn't really 
follow what is in the plasma-appletsrc file.

So, all that I can recommend is that until Plasma is completed, that you 
not edit its *rc files by hand.

As to your current problem, you need exit the X session and delete: 
plasmarc & plasma-appletsrc.  If that doesn't work, also delete these 
directories:

	/var/tmp/<user>-kde4/
	/tmp/<user>-kde4/
