Forgot to mention that if I don't start the HAL daemon that the device 
icons return to my desktop and when I open: "system:/media" in Konqueror 
everything is there.

However, I can't open anything by clicking it either on the DeskTop or 
in: "system:/media".  I get the error message:

	Feature only available with HAL
