I think Qt's sources size would greatly decrease if it used
exceptions, leading to a more safe, clean and small library.
The same applies to kde.
But it is not a good idea to just _add_ exceptions to qt&kde, because
error-handling and exceptions are important part of design and the
whole library must me redesigned from the ground up with exceptions
and exception safety in mind
