It's done via HUPing the dm.

Our infrastructure is almost complete and at the moment we're preparing a test 
system. So if everything goes well, we should be able to do the switch within 
the next couple of weeks (although we've announced no downtime yet ;-) If you 
have something to test for me, I'll give it a try...
