For who's interested this is the bug where I "insulted" you:

http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=81065

I simply explained that everything you wrote doesn't have any sense.

You just defined our work in this way:

"You guys (Gentoo devs) have done a poor job splitting them and to say you
arent going to support the "official" builds is, well, I cant really think
of the words."

Well, you defined our work as "poor" without knowing anything on how the
split in a source distro works, without knowing the simplest thing: portage
manage the dependency as it's a package manager..., and you didn't read the
docs that we suggested in a previous comment.

If a program needs kcontrol then kcontrol will be a dep. Probably there are
some wrong/missing deps but they can be fixed thanks to users reports.

I don't say that the split is the best thing, we only say that probably with
kde 4 we won't have the manpower to mantain both the ebuilds type, and a the
advantages of the split are a lot, and we are trying to make thair
compilation time the same as the monolith ones. (Of course if you only
install the programs you need it just lesser, and counting also the update
time it becomes much smaller too).

All these thing (and more) are explained here:

Bye!
