[For the archives]

This is expected behavior. You can put all unassigned items in the ".hidden"
menu by adding:

       <Menu>
                <Name>.hidden</Name>
                <OnlyUnallocated/>
        </Menu>

That way their mimetypes still get picked up but they don't show up in the
menu.
