Attachements from Win9x or Win2000+? Latter uses UTF8.

I notices the effect if you watch the mail in kmail rendered by khtml (also
text-only mails) Umlauts are sometimes square characters. But if I look into
the raw mail sourcecode (RMB->View mail code (?)) all Umlauts are correct
displayed.

Is
export KDE_UTF8_FILENAMES=1
still a vallid option in KDE-CVS?
What happens using this option?
