Sure, everything is up to date, and I always run "make -f Makefile.cvs" in the 
modules before I compile. For kdemultimedia, I use:
- --with-alsa --with-arts-alsa -disable-closure

I have glib 2, and the arts HEAD compiled fine. I have problems only with 
kdemultimedia.
