I got these errors only once: The first compile after aRts switched to glib...

Did you do the full "make -f Makefile.cvs && ./configure && make install" in 
arts, kdelibs and kdemultimedia?

As some people don't like the glib-dependency they still use ARTS_1_1_BRANCH 
wich has its own glib.
