Hi Ferdinand,

I haven't heard from or of you before. How did you come to contact me?
Just interested! =)

I've tested all of those pages side-by-side in the latest version of
Safari -- v51, and the latest version of Internet Explorer for Windows
(under emulation, of course) v6.28374761205487263984782346294 -- the
version number's probably not *that* long, but you get the idea ;-)

All of them worked flawlessly in Safari. I was not able to recreate any
problems that you were experiencing using Konqueror.

*Part* of Safari's rendering engine (excl. KWQ or whatever Apple call it)
 is available at <http://developer.apple.com/darwin/projects/webcore/>.
I would have assumed that the latest version of Konq would be based off
that and thus, the pages would look the same in both browsers (no doubt
what you were assuming too).

I'm not familiar with Konqueror myself (only use Linux for running
websites w/o X11 - i've never been game to run a linux box on the
desktop), but does it have a feature to block javascript calling new
windows? In the case of the VW and the Audi site where the links don't
work in Konqueror, both use JavaScript to call new windows. As I said,
I'm not familiar with Konq's feature-set, but you might want to just
double-check various settings.

If you and other Konqueror users are experiencing that these sites aren't
rendering properly, I'd recommend contacting Dave Hyatt, Head Developer
of WebCore at Apple. You can reach him at <hyatt@apple.com>, plus you
may want to read his blog at <http://mozillazine.org/weblogs/hyatt/>.

Please get in touch with me if there's *any* way that I can help you out
whatsoever.

Cheers,

Jack Kennedy
