Sincerely? NO ONE will know that you need to add brackets [ ] to the
IP. They will type the IPv6 address and get errors.

But I think it's easy to add to KURL so it won't be a problem to be
RFC-compliant. Who else can say they are fully RFC-compliant?

In the mean time, I've got the preliminary kextsock.h and initial
kextsock.cpp. The latter is unfinished. But it can already give an
idea of what the sockets can do. I just hope I'm not adding too much
bloat.
