   This (SSL) can wait for 2.1.  However it would be nice to set a proper
error code and display a message to the user saying "Sorry, authentication
is not supported yet.  This will be implemented in 2.1" or something like
that.  The SSL code needs to be cleaned up anyways (as we've spoken about
before).
