Here I have once again the opposite idea. Instead of needing to wipe apps
from CVS, let's try to make sure each and every developer gets the chance
to a CVS module. This requires *first and foremost* that we find the
necessary hardware. Our traditional sponsors should be contacted. Then
*but not less important* trim down the heavy load on Stephan K.'s
shoulders. There should be one main CVS server for each category of apps
(e.g. the kde-network CVS server would host each and every KDE
network-related app), with eventual (and almost mandatory) mirroring in an
intelligent server network. Each server should have a team of 3
maintainers (so that the charge isn't too heavy for any of us and so that
we get continuity in maintainance). The KDE CVS ring. Nice image, huh?

These CVS servers could also become FTP repositories for compiled packages
of the contained source code so that people can use the previously
easy-to-use app. selector directly in connection with these servers,
eventually.
