Open KFM window. Press Home.

Location is shown as

file:/home/cs

Now append /.kde and you will get http://home/cs/.kde. Appending the
name of an existing directory does not trigger the http completion but
gives an malformed URL error for a valid URL.

If nobody comes up with a reliable fix real quick we should revert the
previous bug fixes. This was found in CVS from yesterday afternoon.
