lets make sure we keep it portable here.  or maby we need to make a KDE module 
for things like that.  Remember that goal of a desktop project for X?  Keep 
in mind that XFree is a subset of X.  Some window managers dont support XF86 
extentions.

Not to say we dont need things to make the linux desktop better, but maby at 
the same time we need to separate things a little.  Its hard to test things 
when you have to disable most of a package on a platform....

Just my 2c, but I love and use the app, since PC monitors seem to lack the 
ability to ship with a sane gamma value (yes im a mac user so im use to 
bright colors and sharp contrast)
