You think so? I was thinking that it'd be harder to remember the name of each 
app which configures all different kind of things than to fire up one app 
that enables you to setup your entire system.
People will go like: "Where do I change my splash screen again?", "What was 
that apps name?", "I can't find that program to switch ...".
If you tell a user, no matter what you wanna do - everything is in kcontrol. 
The name kcontrol already suggests that it's _THE_ place to change your 
settings and control your computer.

Huh? What module are you talking about? I can't think of one that does that.
