Everyone will hate me for this probably but I think it needs to be
said. Why exactly do we want to keep BC for 3.1?, gcc 3.0 isn't actually ready 
yet so massive recompiling will be going on at some point in the next
few months, who actually makes use of the fact that BC is kept anyway???

An idea would be to keep the KDE 3.1 release roughly inline with the
gcc 3.1 / 3.2 release (which ever one that is "usuable") so why not wait
for that?
