2) You're right, to some degree. But it would be easy to mention Gift somewhere on \
the Image Index page. I mean, it says "Indexing server configuration" -- what server? \
where?

3) If Gift starts on demand, that's fine.

It's true that if Gentoo configured everything correctly for me, I probably wouldn't \
be having these problems. But it doesn't and there isn't even a package for Gift. And \
in this situation KDE does nothing to help me.
