kfontinst -x .fonts
gives segmentation fault
kfontinst -f .fonts
gives carrige return
mkfontscale .fonts
gives carrige return
mkfontdir .fonts
gives carrige return

the problem is here here, at /etc/fonts/fonts.conf:
<!-- Font directory list -->

        <dir>/usr/share/fonts</dir>
        <dir>/usr/share/X11/fonts/Type1</dir> <dir>/usr/share/X11/fonts/OTF</dir>
        <dir>~/.fonts</dir>

<!--
i see it's missing /usr/local/share/fonts
I added it by hand and the font install worked like a charm, delete, add, everything \
worked PERFECTLY. I added the folder like:
<dir>/usr/local/share/fonts</dir>
and that fixed everything
I deleted the manually added folder and the errors came back(font already exists and \
it's zero bytes ..). kfontinst -x .fonts still gives a segmentation fault, but that \
doesn't matter since font install/delete works now.
