Hi,

Sort of off topic but kind of important in the future of creating SVG 
icon etc...

What is the best software (most compatible with SVG icons)

I use sodipodi thinking it to be open-source and compliant to SVG icon 
standards, but now i've heard people mentioning that sodipodi sometimes 
produces 'bad' SVG files.

Illustrator is similar plus is not open-source.

I've heard Karbon14  might be better but I assume is not released yet? 
or at least not on my platform (KDE 3.2 / Mac OS X / X11)

Any suggestions to making better more compatible SVG files?
