A few items in KPanel got busted pertaining to popup menus, but Preston hunted
these down and fixed them.

If at all possible I recommend people use cvsup in order to stay current, which
right now no longer applies with snapshots more than an hour old ;-) I know
it's a pain, but that is to be expected with alpha code being worked on
extensively. I personally have never been involved in a project with such
activity... 

Otherwise you will probably want to stick with 1.x for now.
