Topic 1: HelixCommunity Site Upgrade Schedule (Owner: Anand)
**********************
[Anand] (discussing
https://community.helixcommunity.org/2005/roadmap/ops )
[Anand] M1 completes September 16
[Robla] Schedule Planning to be done by April 22nd
[Robla] search and Wiki are to be partially implemented
[Robla] wiki will probably just spec-ed out
[Haydon] what does phase 2 look like?
[Robla] part of milestone 1 is to spec out what phase 2 looks like
[Robla] public search is easy -- google will pretty much take care of
that
[Robla] integrating security model with searching is the major concern
-- so you can see only what you are supposed to
[Robla] part of this is for Anand & Rick to get familiarized with the
code base
[Robla] see if google search can be leveraged
[Robla] main item is however to get teh permission infrastructure
integrated with the search architecture -- and that is our focus
[Robla] deadline 04/22. Please send your feedback to get your features
in -- we can discuss this as a part of the planning process for the next
milestones

**********************
Topic 2: General Roadmap Discussion (Owner: Robla)
**********************
[Robla] The general framework has been completed
(https://community.helixcommunity.org/2005/roadmap/)
[Robla] Haydon, is hte client roadmap posted online
[Haydon] no -- will not be ready until milko gets back
[Robla] Ryan, is there a player roadmap posted
[Ryan] no -- but will try and get that done by next telecon
[Robla] next AI is to tackle the RoadMap document based on Kevin Scott's
email
[KevinF] last time we spoke about a 2 step process -- phase1 - RN gets a
plan and their resources, Phase2 - Outside contributors do the same --
are we still on that plan
[Robla] that's part of what I have been documenting -- We can start off
with putting the community involvement in the site upgrade process -- if
anyone can help accelerate the process -- that inputs would be very
welcome. We haven't gone thru with the roadmap process for any other
projects yet
[KevinF] ok

**********************
Topic 3: DVB-H Support (Owner: Robla)
**********************
[Robla] discussion started internally --
http://lists.helixcommunity.org/pipermail/helix-client-dev/2005-April/thread.html#2820
[Robla] rahul suggested that we can implemented as a file-format
extension
[Robla] how much would we expect this to be integrated into the helix
framework? for eg. the transport part of DVB-H is that something that
would be supported by the OS
[Simon] we (NOKIA) are definitely interested in doing hte dvbh feature
for devices
[Simon] helix would only interface with the socket (IP packets) and not
with DVBH -- we will have to assume that hte OS handles that -- and the
stack is implemented for that
[Robla] is it RTP or HTTP
[Simon] its all TCP (IPV6)
[Robla] so its multicast with RTP
[Simon] yes
[Chris] what is the delivery mechanism. should that be in helix -- some
sort of exposure to the content catalogue
[Simon] it doesn't have to be -- current understanding is that true DVBH
does not have to be a part of HELIX. just the video portion of it
[Scho] we are investigating this feature at Atsana right now
[Chris] what the timing was for this and does this affect the JSR
project release in anyway
[Robla] helix-client-dev is the place to discuss details on this subject
-- so every one interested should get on that list
[Robla] we should keep track of the this in the client roadmap -- so we
have a clear understanding on what the dvbh support roadmap looks like

**********************
Topic 4: Creation of a porting nucleas alias (Owner: Robla)
**********************
[Robla] looks like there is some interest in that --
http://lists.helixcommunity.org/pipermail/porting-discuss/2005-April/thread.html#647. \
should we go ahead and create it [KevinF] yeah -- i think the interest is there -- we \
should consensus -- that the list to be created.

**********************
Topic 5: telecon time change (Owner: Robla)
**********************
[Robla] folks from motorola wanted to join -- they are @ Bangalore .
The telecon happens at 1:00 am for them -- can we move it to earlier in
the day
[Robla] we can discuss the date and time on mailing lists
[Robla] AI: propose date and time for future telecons to allow folks
from motorola Bangalore to join
suggested tuesday 9:00 Seattle time -- next telecon on May 3rd at 9:00
PDT (11:00 am Dallas time)
