I am developing an server side perl script that needs to find all words
similar to a certain work...
so if I input the word "Brooke", i would like to receive all the
soundsalike words - like "Bruke" Bruk" etc
if I input Perl, i would like to get back "Purl" and "Pearl"
the problem is that if I input Brooke into Aspell, i will get nothing -
because its the correct spelling!
is there any way i can force output of all soundsalike words?
im not really building an app that needs spell checking - but it seems
as though i can use aspell for my solution.
my next solution was to get the dictionary in text format - and build
the soundex keys for each word - so i can do my own soundex matching..
but i cant seem to get the dictionary for Aspell in a text readable
format..
any suggestions?
thanks!
