Do you have a laptop? Maybe you are tapping the mouse pad by accident
and pasting whatever is in the clipboard? Or, is your external mouse
ultra sensitive? Middle-clicking also acts as 'paste'.

Lastly, dragging a file on to the quanta edit area will paste in the
direct address to that file.  to quickly drag-and-drop a file into
quanta for opening, drop it on the top toolbar.
