Quite agree. I also tried it and I prefer the old behaviour, too. Of course I 
could half the animation time, but then it would only be 100 ms and I fear 
that older graphics cards would only paint very few frames. So that would be 
not a good solution.

Here the problem is that AFAIK I cannot get the info which window was 
activated before the tabbox was opened. I just did some code reading and I 
think we can change there something for 4.2. So I would suggest to keep 
coverswitch as it currently is for 4.1 and look at this issue again when trunk 
is unfrozen.
