Oh nein, bitte nicht! Mini-Bilder für Symbole klingt irgendwie schrecklich. 
Wie wäre es mit "Webseiten-Symbol" (o.ä.). Denn das favicon symbolisiert ja 
irgendwie den Inhalt einer Website.
