We are likely to get many bug reports saying that kdmconfig
and kdm are broken because the kdmdesktop program is never
run when using kdm with RedHat 6.0.

The problem is the Xsetup_0 file.
RedHat 6.0 uses the following file:
#!/bin/sh
# Xsetup for Red Hat Linux 6.0
# Copyright (c) 1999 Red Hat Software, Inc.
/usr/X11R6/bin/xsetroot -solid "#356390"
/usr/bin/xsri -geometry +5+5 -avoid 300x250 -keep-aspect \
        /usr/share/pixmaps/redhat/redhat-transparent.png

My current Xsetup_0 from my 5.2 setup using kdm is as follows:
#!/bin/sh
# $XConsortium: Xsetup_0,v 1.3 93/09/28 14:30:31 gildea Exp $
/usr/X11R6/bin/xconsole -geometry 480x130-0-0 -daemon -notify -verbose -fn fixed
-exitOnFail
/usr/X11R6/bin/xbanner
/usr/bin/env KDEDIR=/usr /usr/bin/kdmdesktop

This causes the background to always be RedHat's logo no matter
what you set in kdmconfig. Maybe someone can put up an easy
fix for this before we start getting bug reports about it.
