I've been trying to compile kdelibs all day today,
but I've kept receiving problems related to kwalletd.

Right now KDE is in a hardly-usable state at this point, although I do have
alternatives right now (fluxbox, CLI). I've tried updating the tree,
deleting and then checking the tree out again, using CVSup instead of CVS
(also taking care to symlink ../kde-common/admin to admin in kdelibs). I've
run out of things to check, so I figured I'd post this message.

GCC: Version 3.2.3
QT: Version 3.2

On a related note, the reason I was trying to update kdelibs in the first
place is because after a recent update of kdelibs and kdebase, many
applications which formerly worked no longer work at all. Trying to run
an application with the problem gives a message about being unable to
resolve some symbol involving the splash screen. I can post the exact
error message later (I'm not in KDE at this point), but it seems to be
some sort of binary incompatibility problem, because this doesn't seem to
affect applications which I've rebuilt from CVS. For example, konqueror
and konsole still work, but ark doesn't. kopete doesn't work either, giving
the same error message, even with the latest version downloaded and
compiled separately from CVS.

I'd appreciate any help that anyone could offer.
