I believe that the Konsole3.5 should be the default and that it
doesn't matter hardly a bit which way you go. What does matter
is having readily navigable ways of getting to where most of
the posters here want to go: bringing up a Konsole session in
a consistently sized window. i.e. not adapting as standard the
random size selected by some pop up invocation. Part of my and
earlier folks' frustration is that it was more than a little non-
obvious that the geometry settings that one found under "settings"
migrated to a title bar menu of advanced/special-window-settings/
geometry. A different menu collection with completely different
names. How is one supposed to follow that? Once one does learn
that "little trick", then this problem degrades to less-than-blocker.
The only remaining big irritant is that I use BASH in emacs mode.
That mode has used Ctl-B for over 20 years. It has been hijacked
for use as "add a bookmark". You wouldn't believe how immense
my book mark collection is. I did find settings/configure-shortcuts.
As you know, that is a session-only setting, so I have to set it
every single time. Even worse than resizing.
